Autumn in the Woods placemats

from $64.95

Care to fall down the rabbit hole with me? The Autumn in the Woods collection has been singing to me, so I decided to make a few placemats. What I mean by falling down the rabbit hole is that I decided along the way that my placemats needed a ruffle on either side. Sew.... what I have come up with is 2 placemats layered one on top of the other because I am particular about how the corners look when I turn it inside out. Bottom line, whether you use a ruffle or not, the placemat is ADORABLE!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: You can choose from the single placemat layer which means you will receive the 2 panels, the backing, the binding and the batting. A very straightforward placemat. OR, you can choose the double layer which means you will receive the double placemat layer which will include the 2 panels, the backing, the binding, the batting AND the 2 layers of fabric for the second placemat layer along with the fabric for the ruffle. With Option 1, you will be making a total of 2 placemats and with Option 2 you will be making a total of 2 settings (4 placemats but 2 are layered on top of each other for a total of 2 settings.) If you want to make a set of 4 or more, simply add more to the cart.

To add to your placemat enjoyment, you will notice that I have these darling fabrics which I used to make a pocket on 2 of my placemats. I basically stitched them on top of the finished placemat making a pocket for your silverware and any other cuteness you can think of. These are NOT included but you can purchase them separately - simply look in the Amiably True category for Placemat pockets. If you want the fabric for the coordinating napkin, you can order them under yardage for Amiably True. You will need 1/2 yard for 2 single sided napkins. If you want the ruffle and the dotted band, you will need to add on at least a FQ for those.

There are no sewing instructions - you must have basic sewing skills to complete this project.

Finished placemats finish at 14" x 18 1/2" for the first layer and 16" x 22" for the second layer.

Happy Kwilting!
