Got Kwilts? established in 2010
Our Story
Looking back in time, I realize now that it all began with our oldest daughter, Sonia. When I found out that I was pregnant with her, I learned to sew and made my first quilt with the support of talented friends and fellow quilters. Guess what? It needed to be longarmed, and it was then that I started the longarm portion of our business in 2010.
Fast forward to the early days of COVID, and Sonia walks into the studio and says, “Mom: we need to share your love of Tilda with the world.”
So, we ordered a few bolts, setup an Etsy shop, and started selling fabric. That is all it took as the creative sides of our brains took over, and the next thing I knew, we were building our website, and today our small business of 2 has grown beyond our wildest dreams.
It has been a privilege to offer you something unique in the world of quilting. We dream daily about how we can “shake up” the quilting world with new ideas on fabric, quilting, displays, and home décor. Enjoy perusing our site. We are grateful for all of your support.

Mom to 2 sweet girls, a husband who doesn’t mind if we play with fabric all day long, 2 rambunctious dogs and a cat named Edwin who now has a new name - “toothless.”

Sonia Sidhu
Co-Founder, CMO, Editor for The Quarter Inch Newsletter
My love for quilting inspired me to collaborate with my mom to offer international products in a way that’s accessible to everyone. When I am not analyzing spreadsheets; I am most likely studying for an ordinary differential equations exam or passing time with the kids at Acres of Diamonds.
I hope these will become your go-to “kwilting” essentials that can live in your studio, be your favorite rainy day companion, improve your quilts, and add some joy to your life.
